Beach of Calicut |Home Town|

Its my  honor and privilege to share with you a few wonders of calicut.Calicut has got a long history to speak.During the past ,the city attracted travellers with its prosperity ,a main hub for transactions.

The city has a wonderful beach 'The Calicut Beach'. known for its natural beauty.

Beach is situated near calicut town.There are many ways to enter the beach .Its a perfect spot for viewing the sunrise and sunset .When evening comes,you can see 100s of people rushing in,feeling inside ' worlds best place is under my feet'.A large area of the beach is reconstructed and renovated to attract tourists .You can see various statues done by eminent artists  .

Tourists are attracted in great numbers .Calicut is a fast developing city in kerala.There is beypore beach,a well famous spot known for its ship building,pulimootill another tourist spot.There is a Light house,Marine Water Aquarium ,Lions Park etc which are centres of recreaction 

You can have different views of sunset.Surrounding objects adds beauty to  the sunset.

Most of my great days work end here.I walk in to beach alone or with friends each time fresher than ever.Foods at beach is one of my favourites,i would add 'its everybodys favourite'.Spicy foods are always my best.You will get many sea foods ,varieties of add ons etc.Feel the Taste of Malabar once,that will be one of your lifetime event.

An Evening at ponmudi

Ride

Ponmudi ,a hill station  located 55 km away from trivandram is a place of  heavy scenic beauty.It is at an altitude of 1100 m.  Ponmudi is covered with  thick tropical forest.We need to cover all 22 hairpins to reach the heights of ponmudi

For our trip to ponmudi we opted for bikes.Bikes are always the best option for such trips .You should feel the nature,the pleasant climate the place has.We started our trip after noon at almost 1'oclk.We reached ponmudi at 4 pm.Cool wind was blowing heavily.The place was getting colder by time.The sky is at its best.Place had a lots of visitors .

The best time to visit the place is at evening.You can see the sun set,the most beautiful scene which no one should miss.The ride back from ponmudi was also too interesting .Ride through the forest at night was an adventurous act.

Frequent visits to our near by place ,'The Thamarassery Churam'

Thamarassery churam ,for me it was the beginning of my tour life.I used to visit thamarassery churam very often.I used to take a bike ,ride through the hairpins and finally  reach the gateway to wayanad.

I just cal it a mini bike trip.From each of the hairpin curves you have a different look at the place around.

The place may be sometimes covered by fog.Fog adds beauty to the place.And i love it.A cool weather prevails all over the place.

At the 9th hairpin ,you will get a wide view of the hairpins,vehicles along the road,surrounding forest,beautiful sky and lot more.

During public holidays ,you can see people coming to the place in huge numbers.Those people are not new to the place.As i told ,they are frequent visitors as i am.

The Gang of Wayanad!!!

Wayanad ,a beautiful place i ever visited....i have

been in wayanad many a times..but each time she holds something new for meh..

wayanad has got many tourist attractions .The natural scenic beauty of wayanad and its rich natural resources offer several opportunities for adventure tourism.

The adventure begins even before entering wayanad.You need to cover the 9 hairpins (called 'thamaraserry churam').Here the adventure begins....


i have been to wayanad with my parents,friends,brothers etc.Pookode lake ,near to vythiri  is now a tourist spot.it attracts people from all parts of the world.The interesting fact about the lake is that ,it has the shape of india'a map.
i went to pookode during september.The weather was okay..a bit rainy...road was always wet...nice breeze...There were many visitors to this place..mostly north indian's..all came from long way to feel the beauty of wayanad..Lake has boating facilities .You could take a round through the lake.row boats,pedal boats,executive types are available.You can also have  a walk through the sides of the lake.

(The kabani river originates from the Pookode lake .It is spread across an area of 8.5 hectares and with a maximum depth of 6.5 meters.Pethia pookodensis,is a species of cyprinid fish know to occur in Pookode lake.The forest surrounding the lake has many wild animals ,birds and flies.)

You can see a lot of monkeys hanging here and there.Make sure you keep your belongings safe...there is a chance that these guys can attack you.hihi.......
